Penjelasan tentang Reported Speech
REPORTED SPEECH
Ketika
kita ingin menyampaikan atau melaporkan apa yang telah dikatakan seseorang,
biasanya kita menggunakan kalimat tidak langsung ( Indirect / reported speech
).
Dalam
kalimat Langsung (direct speech) ditandai dengan pengunaan tanda petik (“…”).
Contoh : Dilan said. “I am starving.” Sedangkan di dalam kalimat tidak langsung
( Indirect / reported speech ), kita merubah beberapa kata dan tidak
menggunakan tanda petik. Contohnya : Dilan said (that) he was starving.
Ketika
kita ingin menyampaikan apa yang telah dikatakan seseorang, tenses normalnya
berubah. Berikut ini adalah beberapa perubahan tenses tersebut :

JIka kita melaporkan perkataan seseorang , maka
biasanya terjadi perubahan waktu. Berikut ini adalah perubahan waktu tersebut :
